
On October 9, between 10:00 and 13:00, the conference “Architecture of Prosperity: The Role of Entrepreneurship as a Strategic Resource of Economic Development” will take place in Bucharest.
The event will bring together academics, entrepreneurs, economists, researchers, authors, analysts, managers and public policy specialists.
The conference proposes a debate on the role of entrepreneurship in economic development, increasing prosperity and strengthening a competitive economy.
Prof. Theocharis Grigoriadis, Professor of Economics and East European Studies at Freie Universität Berlin, holding two doctoral degrees — in Economics and Political Science — from St Petersburg State University and the University of California, Berkeley, will deliver the presentation “GeoEconomics and the Battle for the Global South. Business–Government Relations in Global Perspective.”
His contribution will explore the geoeconomic competition for the Global South and the way in which business–government relations are becoming a strategic element in the new architecture of prosperity, international influence, and economic development.
Professor Dumitru Dorel Chirițescu, economist and academic at Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu, will offer a reflection on the social legitimacy of wealth in Romania through the topic “The Social Acceptability of Wealth Creation in Romania: The Romanian Entrepreneur and Society’s Moral Imagination.”
His presentation will explore public perceptions of wealth creation, the image of the Romanian entrepreneur, and the moral and cultural frameworks that shape society’s attitudes towards economic success and entrepreneurship.
Dr Marius Dorin Lulea, PhD in Engineering and author of the book “Macroeconomics: The Architecture of Prosperity”, will present the topic “Entrepreneurs as a Strategic Resource: Capital, Fiscal Competitiveness, Education and Innovation in the Architecture of Prosperity”.
His presentation will examine entrepreneurs as a strategic resource for economic development, within a framework built upon capital, fiscal competitiveness, education and innovation.
Professor Radu Baltasiu, professor at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, University of Bucharest, will present the topic “The National Dimension of Economic Efficiency.”
His presentation will address entrepreneurship not merely as an economic mechanism, but as an expression of a moral, social and national order, in which prosperity is built through responsibility, competence, solidarity and commitment to a national project.
Mohammad Murad is an entrepreneur and investor active in tourism, hospitality, real estate, and the food service industry, and the founder of the Phoenicia Hotels Group. He currently serves as Chairman of the Committee for Entrepreneurship and Tourism in the Chamber of Deputies of Romania.
At the conference, Mohammad Murad will deliver a presentation entitled “Entrepreneurship in Tourism: A Strategic Resource for Romania’s Economy.” His intervention will provide the practical perspective of an entrepreneur with extensive hands-on experience in developing private investments, creating employment opportunities, and leveraging tourism as a key sector for national prosperity and sustainable economic growth.
